Hello everybody! How is everything going? Quite excellent I suppose. Things are going awesome here in JA. This week has been brilliant as the English would say. This past week was transfers. I am staying in the same area and have the same companion, but some other missionaries in my zone were transferred, so we spent a lot of time driving them to their different areas. We drove to Port Antonio, Portmore, Yallahs, and Spanish Town so it was a ton of driving, about 6 hours in total I believe. But despite all the time used up by driving, many of our investigators have made a ton of progress. We are teaching a lady and her baby's father currently. At first, in our lessons, the lady was not too excited, and she wouldn't read the Book of Mormon and participate much. But last week Elder Gurr and I went over and taught her. At the end of the lesson she was crying. We went over and taught her again a few days later and committed her to read the Book of Mormon. In just 5 days, she had read all of 1 Nephi. She later told us that whenever she would wake up and go to sleep and in the middle of the night when she felt distressed she would just read. When we went over to teach her again, her entire countenance had changed. She was so much happier. She had felt the Spirit of the Lord. She told us that she knows that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Joseph Smith is a prophet, and that the Church is true. It was such an awesome experience. She will be baptized on October 27, because she has to get married to her baby's father who also wants to be baptized. What an incredible experience. We have received great, great blessings as of late. The Lord is building up the Church here in the Constant Spring branch, and I feel that the first ever stake in Jamaica will be established very soon. As you all can tell missionary work is awesome and I love being here. I know that this Church is true.
Love you all,
Elder Nugent
