Dear everybody back home and abroad,

I am still doing very well here in Jamaica. We should be getting a couple of baptisms in these next few weeks, so iIam pretty stoked for that. Missionary work is just awesome. I love it so much. It really is crazy how fast the time has been flying though. it has been going by too fast. It is really weird because as missionaries we are literally set apart from the things of the world. I just have a whole new perspective on life. It is pretty awesome. this past week has been really good. We have had some awesome experiences finding people who have been prepared to receive the gospel and we will be having a couple baptisms in the next few weeks. This past week, I have been dwelling on how similar temple work and missionary work are. In reality it is the same work. As missionaries, we have the opportunity of providing people the choice to exercise their agency to choose eternal life or not. They can either accept or reject our message. They can choose eternal life or eternal damnation. As we teach them the gospel by the spirit, they receive the ability to choose whether or not to live the gospel. The choice is placed before them. And if they exercise their agency well they may recieve a fullness of joy and receive all that our Heavenly Father has. And also, they may have greater peace, joy and happiness in this life as well. When we do temple work, we also provide people with a choice. the choice is to accept the ordinances and covenants of the gospel and receive eternal life or not. In either case, we are acting as instruments in the hands of the Lord to help him to bring about his eternal purposes. How great a blessing! We are literally helping others make steps to receive eternal life! and for others to be eternally happy! I love missionary work. I love this gospel. I love my Savior.

Love,
Elder Nugent
