Whats up everyone?! how are things going? I hope everything is going well. I have had quite the interesting week this week. One cool thing that happened was we taught a new investigator. After we taught her the first lesson, she told us that she had already been baptized in a different church and that she was unsure if being baptized again in our church would be ok. She then said if she got an answer from God that she should be re-baptized. And guess what? she read the book of mormon every day during the week and she gave us a call and said that she has made up her mind to be baptized. It was so cool.

Another cool thing that happened is we started teaching a different lady. This other lady was super paranoid about us teaching her at first. She had some really bad experiences at a different church a while back and so she is very cautious when it comes to churches. When we first met her she looked miserable and she thought I was a part of the Illuminati secret combination. (she thinks that everyone from america is part of the illuminati). But anyways as we taught her the first day she didn't really accept anything we said because she was afraid that we were satan worshipers or something. But every once in a while we would stop by and teach her gospel principles and commit her to live them. Then, this week we stopped by, and her entire countenance had changed. She looked so happy, and she said that her life was so much better. When we arrived she called her kids to come pray with us and she said to her daughter, "come here the men that were sent from Jesus are here to pray for us" it was so cool.

This gospel really does rip down all boundaries and all walls amongst all people. The gospel is about unifying people in Christ and once people truly come unto Christ their lives change forever. As you can tell things really are going very well. We have had our ups and our downs but overall the work is progressing. Things are getting a little crazy this month too because the Jamaican elections are taking place. So the people are becoming a little more violent than usual. I cannot go out wearing the colors orange or green because they are associated with the two competing political parties. I am really enjoying myself here though. time continues to fly and the Lord continues to keep me safe. And I know that I will continue to be safe. I know that this gospel is true. I know that Jesus Christ lived and died for us, and I know that God does speak to us in this age and day. I hope everything is going well back in good ol Utah. Everyone have a happy fun safe holliday, and remember the true meaning behind Christmas.

P.S. The pictures are of me and a different investigator family who we have been meeting with for quite some time now. they should be getting baptized soon.

Love,

Elder Nugent
